Three Siena Heights Esports teams competing in the opening round of the ECAC Spring Brackets. Lucas Carvalho won by a 2-0 forfeit over Zachary Rzewnicki from Saint Thomas Aquinas to advance to round two. George Talley III swept Zachary Wheeler from Saint Francis University in Madden to advance as well. The Saints Hearthstone team surrendered a 2-0 lead to fall to Sacred Heart 3-2 and was eliminated from the playoffs.

Carvalho got the week off to a great start on Monday when he faced Rzewnicki from Saint Thomas Aquinas. Carvalho jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in game one before Rzewnicki quit resulting in the 2-0 forfeit victory. Carvalho will now advance to the second round to face Chance Ntambwe from Central Maine Community College on Monday, April 12 at 8:00 p.m.

Talley III dominated game one of Madden against Wheeler, winning 41-7. Game two's score was closer, 37-28, but still went in the favor of Talley III resulting in a 2-0 sweep. Talley III now moves onto the second round next Thursday, April 15 where he will face Tyler Cummens from Carroll University.

The SHU Hearthstone team took a quick 2-0 lead over Sacred Heart in the round-one game. The Saints fell just short in game five to fall to Sacred Heart by a score of 3-2, resulting in elimination from the spring playoffs.
