Siena Heights Dance Team Finishes Seventh at NAIA National Championships

DAVENPORT, IOWA -- The Siena Heights dance team competed in the 2019 NAIA Cheer and Dance National Championships from March 7 through March 9 in Davenport, Iowa. The Saints finished the competition with a 71.59 final score to claim the seventh spot in the standings after the final standings.

Siena Heights, who competed in its third consecutive NAIA Dance national championship, finished just .16 points behind Baker (Kan.) in the sixth spot in the standings. The Saints were .24 away from finishing in the top five.

Midland (Neb.) finished in the top spot with a final score of 86.35. Saint Ambrose fell to second place with 85.46 followed by Aquinas with a 76.75. Morningside (Iowa) was fourth with 74.08 and Oklahoma City rounded out the top five with a score of 71.83.

Below Siena was Point Park with a 70.61 in the eighth spot. In ninth was Mount Mercy (Iowa) with a score of 69.75. Grand View (Iowa) (65.96), Doane (58.79), and Loyola (La.) (57.25) rounded out the standings in the championships.
