Baseball Readies for WHAC Tournament on Wednesday May 1st

The Siena Heights baseball team is set to begin WHAC Tournament play on Wednesday, May 1st, when they will travel to Ann Arbor to take on the Concordia Cardinals, who will be hosting the pod the Saints will be playing in. The other pod will be hosted by Northwestern Ohio. Eight teams make the WHAC tournament, and the Saints will be the seventh seed taking on the two-seed Concordia. The Saints finished the regular season 21-28 and 15-17 in conference play. 21 wins is the most wins the program has seen since 2012, when the Saints won 33, and will look to build off of this season with a successful WHAC Tournament run.

The Saints will play a one, nine-inning game at Concordia at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 1st. If the Saints win, they will play on Thursday, May 2nd, against the winner of Indiana Tech and Aquinas. If the Saints lose, they will play in the losers bracket, following game one at 4 PM. If the Saints make it to the championship game at Concordia, then the Saints will play on May 3rd. If the Saints win the championship game at Concordia, then they will play the champion of the other pod on May 6th and 7th. The higher seed will host the championship in a best of three series to win the WHAC Tournament.
