Baseball Ties for Most in NAIA with 19 Scholar-Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2023 Baseball Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.  The Siena Heights Baseball Program had nineteen student-athletes earn this distinction.  The Saints tied with conference-mate Indiana Tech for the most student-athletes honored from any baseball team in the NAIA. 

In order to be nominated for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete, an individual must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year.

Devin Eads (1st time), sophomore, nursing major from Anchorage, Alaska

Aidan Grinstead (1st time), sophomore, engineering major from Caledonia, Michigan

Cameron Hammer (3rd time), senior, finance major and communications minor from Bedford, Michigan

Christian Jabiro (3rd time), senior, finance major from St. Clair, Michigan

Tyson Kemp (1st time), sophomore, engineering major from Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Thomas Lamnek (3rd time), senior, business administration major from Locust Grove, Georgia

Kenny Layman (2nd time), junior, accounting major from Sterling Heights, Michigan

Matt Love (2nd time), junior, sport management major from Macomb, Michigan

Collin Mong (3rd time), senior, marketing major from Rochester Hills, Michigan

Aiden Nighswander (2nd time), junior, exercise science major and psychology minor from Deerfield, Michigan
