Tiller Highlights 18 Baseball Players Honored by WHAC

The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference released their 2023 Baseball Awards on Thursday.  Siena Heights had 18 members of their team recognized.

Freshman Nick Tiller highlights the group with a Gold Glove Award as the best defensive shortstop in the WHAC.  Tiller started every game but one for the Saints this season.  He was involved in 182 chances notching 68 put-outs and 107 assists.  He made only seven errors which was good for a .962 fielding percentage.

Thomas Bakoway was the Saints representative on the Champions of Character Team.  Each school has one member on this team which is the player chosen to best represent the five core character values of the NAIA, respect, integrity, responsibility, servant leadership, andn sportsmanship.

Siena Heights had 17 students on the All-Academic Team.  In order to qualify for this award, a student must have been in attedance at their school for at least one full year.  They must be a junior or better academically, and maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA or better.  Earning this accolade for the Saints was Collin Bammer, Bakoway, Cameron Hammer, Christian Jabiro, Thomas Lamnek, Ken Layman, Matt Love, Cole Mason, Collin Mong, Aiden Nighswander, Anthony Scali, Nolan Smiegel, Brad South, Andy Stoll, Ryan Sullivan, Cole Van Wasshenova, and Adam Wilding.
