AUSTIN, Texas -- Siena Heights senior first baseman Brendan Green (Pickerington, Ohio / Pickerington North HS) was to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® NAIA Baseball Second Team as awarded by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). 

Green led the Saints this season in hits with 57 and a batting average of .377. He also completed the season with five doubles, 37 runs, 25 RBIs, and four stolen bases on 151 at-bats. The business major from Pickerington, Ohio was named second-team all-conference for the second year in a row and earned his third gold glove award at first base.

"Brendan is one of the finest players to come through the SHU baseball program," said Head Coach John Kolasinski. "On the field and in the classroom, there was no better representative for Saint baseball. This is a well-deserved honor.

Green was a business major with a 3.88 GPA at Siena Heights. He had the seventh-highest GPA on the All-America team.

The 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® NAIA teams consist of the 22 best NAIA student-athletes on the field and in the classroom from all across the country. Each team consisted of two pitchers, one catcher, four infielders, three outfielders, and one designated hitter.

Green is one of six student-athletes in the state of Michigan and one of three representing the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).
