Siena Heights Wins 3rd Straight

Adrian, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team won their third straight game with a victory over Spring Arbor this afternoon.

THE BASICS

Final Scores: Siena Heights 6, Spring Arbor 5

Location: Adrian, Michigan

Records: Siena Heights (5-5), Spring Arbor (8-15)

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Saints and Cougars squared off again, this time in Michigan. Spring Arbor scored in the top of the 1st innings but then Saints starter Reid Olmstead shut them down till the 6th. In the top half of the 6th, the cougars got their second run of the game off of a RBI double.

In the bottom half of the inning, Logan Nolff stepped up to the plate and hit a solo home run to make it 3-1. SHU continued scoring in the 7th inning as Brendan Green had a two RBI single to tie the game up at 3. Nolff would follow with a RBI double. David Pietryga reached on an error which would score two more runs for the Saints.

With the game at 6-3, the Cougars were able to get two runs back in the 8th inning. But Ayden Hannon closed out the game for the Saints to earn the save.
