For the second year running, the Siena Heights baseball team has been honored as an American Baseball Coaches Association Scholar-Team for the 2016-17 season.

SHU is one of nine NAIA schools recognized while being one of four NAIA schools honored two years in-a-row. This is the second year this honor has been given out by the ABCA. Siena Heights was recently named an NAIA Scholar-Team with a 3.05 grade point average.

In order to be nominated for this award, the team must be a high school or college team with a head coach that is an ABCA member and an accumulative team GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
