Baseball Earns Comeback Win Over Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team scored six runs during the final two innings, claiming an 11-7 non-conference win over cross-town rival Adrian on Tuesday.

Freddy Jehle and Austin Hauck batted 3-for-6 for the Saints (18-23), who trailed 7-5 before scoring twice in the eighth and four times in the ninth.

Jehle compiled three runs, a stolen base and an RBI while Hauck finished with a double, a run and four RBI.

Also for SHU, Nathaniel Kraus went 3-for-4 with an RBI, Zack Dunlop batted 2-for-5 with a run and RBI and Travis Stricklin doubled.

Relief pitchers Tayler Thelen and Kyle Kuhr had three shutout innings each with Kuhr getting the win.

Hauck had an RBI single in SHU's three-run first and then Kraus and Raymond Cleary smacked RBI singles in the two-run third as the Saints snagged a 5-1 advantage.

Adrian scored six runs in the sixth, taking a 7-5 lead before SHU made its comeback.

In the eighth, Hauck and Dunlop had RBI singles. Then, SHU took the lead in an AC error in the ninth. Jehle smacked an RBI single and Hauck ripped a two-run double for insurance.

Collin Parcher and Ryan Dorow had solid offensive games for the Bulldogs. Parker went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. Dorow finished 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.

Cody Hamilton was the losing pitcher.

Siena Heights will return to action on Wednesday with a 2 p.m. non-conference doubleheader against Cleary.
