Baseball Drops Single Game to Holy Cross

The Siena Heights Baseball team dropped a non-conference game to Holy Cross by a score of 15-2.

In a rain shortened contest, the Saints fell behind 4-0 after the top of the first and were never able to get back into the game.  Single runs in the first and fifth were the only runs the Saints would push across, while Holy Cross added three in the second, five in the third and another three in the fourth.

Dennis Sharp Jr. plated Austin Hauck in the first with one of only two hits for Siena Heights.  A sacrafice fly by Eric Henderson plated Stefan Markovic who came in to run for Travis Podolak who had the Saints other hit, a triple.

On the hill Travis Butlin took the loss while Chris Householder threw one inning of scoreless relief.

With the loss, the Saints fall to 11-17 on the season and will return to action on Wednesday travelling to Madonna for a WHAC doubleheader.
