MARION, Ind. -- The Siena Heights baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader against Indiana Wesleyan with 4-1 and 9-1 victories on Saturday.

During the 4-1 opener, Jehle and Travis Podolak led the way with 2-for-3 games. Both scored runs; Jehle also had an RBI single.

Both Travis Stricklin and Raymond Cleary doubled and scored runs. Henderson smacked an RBI single and Dennis Sharp Jr. had a sacrifice fly.

Thomas McCarter was the winning pitcher. He had one strikeout in six innings. Justin McPherson recorded three outs in the seventh to earn the save.

Austin Hauck batted 4-for-5 with a run scored in the 9-1 nightcap. Eric Henderson went 3-for-4 with a triple and run, Stricklin finished 3-for-5, and Freddy Jehle was 1-for-2 with three walks and two runs.

Kyle Burkholder earned the win on the mound, finishing with five strikeouts in six innings of work.

The Saints are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday when Madonna visits the SHU Baseball Diamond for Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference doubleheader.
