LIVONIA, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's soccer team experienced the first loss in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play with a 2-1 result at Madonna on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints scored first with a scramble off a corner allowing Erin Tyson to score a goal in the 17th minute that gave SHU the 1-0 lead. The score would stay there for the remainder of the first half.

The Crusaders tied things up with a goal off another scramble in the 48th minute. However, the tie was broken in the final three minutes when a second goal was tallied from Madonna to seal the win.

Both defenses played well, as neither team could muster many chances. The Saints finished with three shots on goal, while the Crusaders had five. Siena Heights had seven corner kicks on the day.

Quote From Coach: "Credit to Madonna today as they forced us into some mistakes and capitalized off them."
