Women's Basketball To Host Northwestern Ohio and No. 19 Lawrence Tech in WHAC Play

THE GAMES
The Siena Heights women's basketball team is set to host Northwestern Ohio and No. 19 Lawrence Tech in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contests on Wednesday and Saturday, respectively. Wednesday's contest is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday's is set for 5:30 p.m. Saturday's contest against Lawrence Tech will be the annual Breast Cancer Awareness game and will have an admission fee of $5 as a donation to the Hickman Cancer Center, no passes will be accepted.

The Saints are currently 12-10 overall and 6-7 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. Last week, the Saints fell to Concordia before defeating Michigan-Dearborn. SHU is averaging 63.4 points per game and is shooting 38.4% from the field as a team. From behind the arc, the Saints have knocked down 30.3% of their attempts and 61.6% from the free throw line.

Northwestern Ohio has accumulated a 7-14 overall record and 3-9 conference record. The Racers have lost their last four contests and will be looking to get back on track against Siena Heights on Wednesday. UNOH averages 63.4 points per game and is shooting 38.5% from the floor, 31.6% from three and 69.4% from the charity stripe.

No. 19 Lawrence Tech is currently enjoying a nine game winning streak entering the week. The Blue Devils are averaging 73.4 points per game as a team, shooting 40.1% from the field, 30.7% from three and 77.2% from the line.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Siena Heights is led by Demi Russell who is averaging 10.4 points per game. Alyssa Larson leads the Saints on the glass with 7.5 rebounds per game for 165 rebounds total. Azalea Miller has dished out a team high 3.7 assists per game while Larson has blocked an average of 1.1 shots per contest.

Emily Patton leads the Racers with 14 points per game and also contributes six rebounds. Kierra Billingsley has been able to pull down a team high seven rebounds per contest and averaged 1.4 steals per game. Cori Dickson has averaged 3.7 assists per game.

No. 19 Lawrence Tech is helped by three Blue Devils averaging double-figure scoring, led by Nicole Buckingham with 16.4 points per game and 1.5 steals. Hayley Walkowski has helped the team with 5.9 rebounds per game while Cherilyn Banas has contributed 3.6 assists per game.
