HOW IT HAPPENED

Neither team was able to find the back of the net as the score remained zeros at half-time. Cleary had an opportunity to break the tie as Benjamin Delage had a shot at the 0:27 mark but it hit the post. The Saints had a number of opportunities as Joel Koshko, Cameron Gouin, Remy Collard, and Uthman Babatunde all had shots on goal but were not able to put it past Juan Gomez in Cleary goal. SHU edged the Cougars nine to eight in shots on the period.

The second half remained a scoreless deadlock as neither team was able to capitalize on their chances to send the game into overtime. Siena had 11 shots on goal in the half but was unable to slot it past Gomez as he was solid in goal. Cleary had four shots on goal but Kozan protected the goal. The Saints outshot the Cougars 17 to 7.

Once again, the score was 0's through the first overtime. The Cougars only had one shot on goal in both overtime periods as Kozan saved Lesman Morazan's shot. SHU also only had one shot on goal in the first overtime from Remy Collard but it came up short sending both teams into double overtime.

It came down to crunch time for both teams as both fell short to succeed in their chances to take home the win. The Saints had two opportunities as Gustavo Barros and Marcelo Rocha took shots but did not find the back of the net giving both teams the tie.
