The Siena Heights men's soccer team will host two games this week, including non-conference opponent Cleary and the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opener against Madonna. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on both Wednesday and Saturday, respectively.
The Saints are coming off their first victory of the season on Saturday, overcoming Hunting 4-3 in double-overtime. SHU holds a 1-4 record overall. The Cleary Cougars sit at a 5-3 record as the head into Wednesday's match at SHU, with four of their wins coming from WHAC schools. To open WHAC play, the Madonna Crusaders are 5-1, with no contest prior to facing the Saints, on Saturday.
Last season, SHU bested Cleary by a goal with a 2-1 finish, scores coming from Elmedin Celovic and Collin McLaughlin. Siena Heights opened conference play against Madonna last season with an 8-1 loss with the lone SHU goal by Matt Lentine in the final minute of action.
