Lentine, Khan Efforts Lift Men's Soccer Over Cleary

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's soccer team picked up a 5-0 victory over Cleary, on Wednesday, in the final non-conference game of the season.

Rahbar Khan started the Saints' scoring in the seventh-minute, beating the goalkeeper near post off of a pass from Matt Lentine. The two connected again as Lentine finished a ball slotted across the 18-yard box near post from Khan in the ninth-minute. To end the first half scoring, Khan converted a penalty kick 24:28 into the match.

Again in the 64th-minute, Lentine finished a Khan pass for SHU (2-4). Less than four minutes later, Khan sent a pass to Justin Gray who sent it into the back of the net.

Leading the Saints in shots was Justin Gray with five, including three on frame. Khan managed four shots while Brent Rodden and Lentine took three each. Three different Cougars each took four shots a piece.

In goal for the Saints, Andrew Kozan made seven saves. Ludin Gonzales made one save in net for the Cougars (5-4) and allowed two goals before being relieved by Marc Hodges in the 15th-minute. Hodges with three saves.

Cleary outshot the Saints, 22-15, and held a 5-4 corner kick advantage.

Next up, SHU will open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Saturday with a 7 p.m. match against Madonna.
