Men's Basketball Comes Up Just Short Against CUAA

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team came up just short in a comeback bid as it fell to Concordia, 65-61, on Wednesday at the SHU Fieldhouse.

Curtis Bell III led the way with 20 points and nine rebounds. Delano Williams added 14 points and Davin Walker totaled 10 points for the Saints (2-8, 5-13). Walker also had eight rebounds.

Siena Heights had trailed 47-31 in the second half before going on a 13-2 run to close its deficit to 56-51. Bell had seven points in that stretch.

CUAA (6-11, 6-5) pushed its lead back to 62-51 and held off SHU the rest of the way. A 3-pointer by Siena Heights' Jonas Tester pulled the hosts within 63-61 with 12 seconds left. Concordia's Jayden Priddy iced the game away with a pair of free throws.

Kip French was the leading scorer for CUAA with 12 points. Colton Ritsema added 10 points.

The Saints will be in action next on Saturday when they host Aquinas for a 3 p.m. WHAC game.
