UPCOMING FOR SHU: Siena Heights has two regular-season games before the end of the 2022 calendar year. The Saints (4-9) will host Indiana-South Bend for a 7 p.m. game on Thursday night and then welcome Spring Arbor for a noon tip-off on Saturday.

HEAD COACH: Joe Pechota enters his 11th season as the head coach of the Siena Heights men's basketball program. Pechota has a career record of 214-298 which includes his 113 wins with the Saints program. He assisted this season by graduate assistant Aaron Herbst, assistants Darius Wilson and Aaron Benard, and director of basketball operations, Ryan Mann.

LAST TIME OUT: The Saints won a pair of non-conference games before the Christmas break, starting with a 71-63 road win at Indiana Southeast before taking a 76-55 victory against East-West at home.

SHU feasted from beyond the arc in its two wins. Freshman T.J. Hallett buried eight 3-pointers, equaling a Siena Heights single-game record, as he totaled 24 points against IU Southeast.

Hallett came off the bench and scored 24 points, a career and season-high, by connecting on 8 of 11 from 3-point range. He is the first Saint in more than 25 years to make eight 3s.

Against East-West, the Saints equaled their season-high in 3-pointers as a team with 13. Landon Links had five of those treys and finished with a team-high 15 points. Siena Heights' previous game of 13 threes came in an 88-84 win against Miami-Middletown on Nov. 26.

In the visit to WMU, Siena Heights' leading scorer was Delano Williams, who scored 14 points. Williams had made his SHU debut in the win against East-West.

SHU also visited Division I program Western Michigan prior to the break. The contest was an official game for the Broncos, who win 61-41, while it was a listed exhibition for the Saints.
