Men's Basketball Headed to #1 Cornerstone for WHAC Quarterfinal

The Siena Heights men's basketball team is headed to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Quarterfinals as the No. 8 seed. The Saints will travel to top-ranked Cornerstone for a 7:30 p.m. contest, on Thursday.

After their victory on Saturday over Lourdes, SHU improved to a 16-14 record overall and 10-12 record in the conference, earning their best regular season record since the 2009-10 season.

The No. 1 Golden Eagles ar currently 27-3, finishing 20-2 in the WHAC with losses to Davenport and Aquinas.

Last time the two teams met, Siena Heights lost 76-63 in Grand Rapids, Mich. Jerrell Martin led the Saints with 18 points while Christopher Pearl earned a double-double, adding 11 points and 10 boards. Tony Jackson II had a team-high seven assists, also tacking on 12 points.

Admission to the event will be $7 per person and no passes will be accepted.
