The Siena Heights baseball team will open Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 23 when they travel to Madonna for a three game series over the weekend.
The Saints currently hold an overall record of 1-2 after its season opening series last weekend with Roosevelt (Ill.).
Madonna will open it's season this weekend against Siena Heights. The Crusaders finished last season with a 30-19 overall record and 20-10 conference record. Last season against MU, SHU went 2-1 in the series.
In the WHAC preseason poll, the Saints are ranked seventh with Northwestern Ohio, Indiana Tech and Concordia ranking number one through three respectively.
In the 2016-17 season, SHU finished in the seventh spot. The Saints will look to improve on its previous season record of 16-32 overall and 12-17 in the WHAC.
Next up, Siena Heights will host Lawrence Tech on Saturday, Sept. 30 with a single game at 5 p.m. and again on Sunday, Oct. 1 with a double-header beginning at 1 p.m.
