The following was printed on Matt Geha's HOF
plaque:
In the four years he ran cross country and track and field
distance events for the Saints, Matt Geha was usually at the front
of the pack. From 1993-96, Geha led the Siena Heights cross
country team WHAC league title, and in three of those years he was
the WHAC individual champion. Geha earned NAIA All-American
honors in cross country in 1994, 1995 and 1996. In 1995, he
led the team to an 8th-place finish at the NAIA national
championships. Prior to ’95, no other SHU men’s
cross country team had finished in the top ten nationally.
Geha also excelled in both indoor and outdoor track and field,
where he helped the Saints win seven of eight league championships
during his four-year career. He still holds four school
records in track and field and was an individual league champion
fifteen times.
