Women's Cross Country Places 5th at WHAC Championships While Earning Honors

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's cross country team ran at the WHAC Championships Great hosted by Aquinas College on Saturday afternoon. The Saints ran a 5K and finished 5thth of 10 teams with a total team score of 166 and a team average time of 19:58.

TOP FINISHERS

Andrea Crowe (Junior, Brighton, Mich.) earned WHAC Second Team All-Conference as she led SHU with a time of 18:35 and placed 10th overall. Brianna Martin (Freshman) finished second on the team placing 28th overall with a time of 19:34. Casie Nadasky (Sophomore, Rochester. Mich.) finished third on the team with a time of 20:14 and placed 44th overall. Emily Monroe (Freshman) had a time of 20:37 and placed 53rd overall. Alexis Cordle had a time of 20:48 and place 57th overall.

Michayla Miller (Senior, Medina, Ohio) was honored with WHAC Champions of Character Team and WHAC All-Academic as she finished seventh on the time finishing 63rd overall with a time of 21:20.

The Saints will find out on Monday whether or not they have qualified for the NAIA National Championships on Friday, November 22nd in Fort Vancouver, Washington.
