Geibe Runner-Up at 190, Ahumada Third at 109 During Warrior Open

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Bo Geibe placed runner-up in the 170-pound weight class and Valeria Ahumada was third at 109 during the Warrior Women's Open at Indiana Tech on Saturday.

Geibe went 2-1 through her three matches before falling in the finals to Brewton-Parker's India Page, 4-1.

Geibe earned her victories over Teni Ajayi of Northern Michigan by technical fall and Chamira Cooper of the Cumberlands via decision.

Ahumada earned a pair of pinfall wins as she went 3-1 on the day. She pinned Trine's Riley Morrison in 3:14 and Albion's Gabby Metz in 42 seconds. Ahumada was a winner in the third-place match over Adrian's Emily Mendez by decision, 4-2.

Mallory Chunat and Phoenix Waters also had solid days on the mat. Chunat was 4-2 at 130 and Waters went 5-2 at 136.

The Saints competed as a team in three duals on Friday. They lost to No. 2 Life, 41-4, No. 14 Brewton-Parker, 46-1, and Missouri Baptist, 21-12.

Geibe had the Saints' only win against Life, taking an 11-0 tech fall over Emma Diaz.

Against Missouri Baptist, Geibe claimed a pinfall at 191 against Ki'Eiska Cathey in 2:15. Chunat also earned a pin at 130 in 1:13 over Abigail Mattson.
