LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Five competitors placed for the Siena Heights women's wrestling team on Friday at the NUWAY College Open.

The Saints were led by Bo Geibe, ranked No. 11 at 170 pounds, and Valeria Ahumada, ranked 13th at 109, who had runner-up finishes.

Geibe had three dominant performances before falling in the finals via decision. Geibe earned two pinfalls and technical fall before falling to Grand View's Shenita Lawson via decision in the finals.

Ahumada went 4-1 at the open, suffering only a third-round decision loss to Ava Hunyady (Guelph, Ont., club). She had one pinfall and three tech falls in the tournament.

Mallory Chunat, ranked No. 19 at 130, finished third. It was the first tournament placement of her college career. 

Zoë Hussar earned third place at 155 pounds and Phoenix Waters was fourth at 136 pounds. 

The Saints return to Mid-South Conference competition at Lourdes on Friday, Jan. 13 for duals against the Gray Wolves and No. 7 Cumberlands.
