
DEFIANCE, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team finished its regular season with a 3-1 win over WHAC opponent Defiance on Friday night. Set scores were 25-20, 25-21, 21-25, 25-14.
Devyne Eisenhauer had 10 kills and Olivia Norman hit nine. Kei Sullivan added seven kills. Aubrey Bates totaled 32 assists and five aces. Norman was credited with four blocks.
Melina Hanes held the back-line for 16 digs. Jessica Holsapple added 14 and Eisenhauer finished with 13.
The Saints took an early 6-1 lead in the opening set and held off a late Defiance charge to go up, 1-0.
The second set played out similarly as the Saints pocketed the first six points and staved off a Yellow Jackets run.
Host Defiance finally got the better of SHU in the third, building the early lead and holding on.
The Saints charged forward with an 8-1 stretch to begin the fourth and cruised from there.
Siena Heights (22-5, 15-3) will host Northwestern Ohio in the WHAC Tournament quarterfinals on Wednesday.
