ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team opened WHAC play with a 3-0 sweep of Lourdes on Wednesday at the SHU Fieldhouse. Set scores in favor of the Saints were 25-16, 25-19, 25-21.

Devyne Eisenhauer finished with 16 kills, nine digs, two aces and two blocks for the Saints (6-2, 1-0). Aubrey Bates made 36 assists.

Kei Sullivan and Olivia Norman added nine and seven kills, respectively. Melina Hanes had 12 digs and Jessica Holsapple made 11 digs.

SHU pulled away in the opening set, turning an 11-10 lead into a 21-12 advantage after enjoying a 10-2 stretch.

The Saints led the entire way in the second after taking a 2-0 lead. Lourdes pulled within 20-18 before a set-ending 5-1 run by Siena Heights.

SHU battled back from an early 6-2 deficit in the third. Trailing 9-8, it went on a 6-1 run and held the lead for good.

The Saints will return to play on Wednesday, Sept. 11, with a 7 p.m. WHAC match against Michigan-Dearborn.
