SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team lost in four sets on the road against Lawrence Tech on Thursday night. Kinsey Wagner led the Saints attack with 10 kills and a hitting percentage of .350 in the losing effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Siena rallied back from a 19-15 deficit in the first to eventually tie the score at 24 points to force extra points. Samantha Getson registered a kill from Karsyn Wolf to give SHU the set point. Janel Ruhlman sealed the game-one win with a kill of her own as the Saints took the 1-0 lead.
The Blue Devils used two 3-0 runs to jump out to a 6-2 lead in the second. Ruhlman used a kill and two service aces to lead Siena in a 6-0 run to capture a 9-7 lead. Trailing 12-10, LTU used runs of 4-0 and 5-0 to pull ahead 19-13. The Saint cut the lead to three points, 19-16, but the Blue Devils held on to a 25-17 decision and tied the score at 1-1.
Things remained closed throughout the third game as the score was tied multiple times up to a 3-0 run by SHU that tied the score at 21 and forced a Lawrence Tech timeout. The teams traded points out of the break before the Blue Devils used a 3-0 run to take the set with a 25-22 win for the 2-1 lead.
Siena built an early 4-1 lead in the fourth set before Lawrence Tech used a 3-0 run to knot things up at six. After trading scores to an 8-8 tie, the Saints held a 10-8 lead. Six-straight points by the Blue Devils flipped the advantage to the home team in a 14-10 and forced SHU to take a timeout. Four more points were added by LTU out of the break to complete a 10-0 run that had the Saints trailing 18-10 and they couldn't recover.
TOP SAINTS
• Ruhlman finished with 10 kills, six digs, and three service aces.
• Wagner added four digs, two blocks, and an ace to her 10-kill night.
• Aubrey Bates completed the night with a double-double, 31 assists, and 14 digs. She led the Saints in both of those categories.
• Sam Huddleston tied with a team-high 14 digs.
THE OPPOSITION
• Jessica Lodge led the Blue Devils with 12 kills.
• Nichole Hyduk had a match-high 22 digs.
• Isabella McDonald and Riley O'Connell each had 10 kills.
UP NEXT
The Saints will stay on the road when they travel to Lima, Ohio on Saturday, March 6 to face UNOH in a WHAC contest. The match is scheduled for a noon start.
