
Siena Heights women's outdoor track and field athletes Linnearia Richards and Margherita Conrad were named WHAC Athletes of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.
Conrad was selected as the WHAC Field Athlete of the Week after winning the pole vault at the Davenport Invitational with an NAIA automatic-qualifying height 13 feet, 8 1/4 inches (4.17 meters).
Richards was named WHAC Track Athlete of the Week. She won the 400-meter hurdles at Spring Arbor's Bill Bippes Cougar Classic with an auto time of 1:01.66. Richards also won the 100 hurdles in 14.54.
Conrad's vault is rated No. 1 in the NAIA while Richards' 400 hurdles time is No. 2 nationally.
