ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Emma Valentine, Linnearia Richards and Margherita Conrad were event-winners as the Siena Heights women's outdoor track and field team opened its season at Oakland's Golden Grizzlies Invitational.

Conrad and fellow pole vaulter Emma Stewart had provisional heights of 12 feet, 0 1/2 inches (3.67 meters) to place 1-2. Conrad won via tiebreaker.

Valentine cleared 5-5 (1.65m) to win the high jump and Richards was first in the long jump with an 18-9 1/2 (5.72m).
