Siena Heights women's high jumper Emma Valentine is currently in the mix for a bid to the USA Track and Field Indoor Championships, which will take place Feb. 22-23 at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.

Valentine's school-record mark of 5 feet, 10 inches (1.78 meters) hit the minimum requirement needed to qualify for USATF Indoor Nationals.

Athlete declarations for the event will take place Wednesday and Thursday. The USATF limits the indoor high jump to 12 entries.

Valentine is the top-ranked women's high jumper in the NAIA.
