Vaulters Conrad, Fugate All-Americans; Women's T&F Fourth After Day One at NAIA Outdoors

MARION, Ind. -- Margherita Conrad and Tyler Fugate earned All-America honors in the pole vault as the Siena Heights women's track and field team began competition on Wednesday at the NAIA Outdoor Championships, which are being hosted by Indiana Wesleyan.

Both SHU vaulters had a top height of 3.75 meters. Via tiebreakers, Conrad placed third and Fugate was fourth. The Saints had another student-athlete in the Top 10: Samantha Nowell, who was 10th at 3.70m.

Linnearia Richards competed three times on Wednesday. She finished 13th in the long jump with a distance of 5.56m and qualified for the finals in the 400-meter hurdles with a fourth-best time of 1:01.59.

Richards was also a member of Siena Heights' 4x100 relay team that placed 23rd with a time of 47.90. The relay, in order, was Faith Jackson, Richards, Jocie Berry and Jenna-Ann Johnson.
