FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team tied WHAC conference opponent Indiana Tech 2-2 on Saturday. 

Christina Ibanez-Merino and Parker Cheney were the goal scorers for the Saints. Sarah Ammon recorded the only assist for the Saints on Cheney's game-tying goal in the 86th minute. 

In goal, Lily Diamond played all 90 minutes where she totaled two saves off of four shots on goal. 

The first half was scoreless as both teams were tied 0-0 going into halftime.

In the second half, Indiana Tech scored first to take a 1-0 lead in the 47th minute. Ibanez Merino tied the game up with an unassisted goal in the 52nd minute to tie the game 1-1. In the 78th minute Indiana Tech regained the lead 2-1 as they scored in the 78th minute. In the 86th minute Parker Cheney scored the game-tying goal to escape with a 2-2 tie. 

The Saints will return to action on Wednesday Oct. 2, with a 4 p.m. EDT game at Concordia.
