
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team edged out non-conference opponent Mount Vernon Nazarene 1-0 on Saturday.
Christina Ibanez-Merino scored the Saints' goal in the 45th minute unassisted.
Kendall Wise started the game for the Saints by recording three saves in the first half. In the second half, Lily Diamond entered and played the remainder of the game, recording three saves.
After this victory, SHU has now recorded 495 program victories. Coach Scott Oliver and the Saints have gone 24 straight games without recording a loss in the regular season. The last regular season loss came on Oct. 19, 2022, against Aquinas.
The Saints will return to action on Wednesday with a 5 p.m. non-conference game at Bethel (Ind.).
