ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team saw two players score two goals as they rolled through Michigan-Dearborn 5-0 inside O'Laughlin Stadium on Wednesday night. The Saints (8-2-1, 3-1 WHAC) complete their eighth shutout victory of the season and third-straight over a WHAC opponent with the win.

Sarah Ammon led the Saints with two goals and an assist for five points on the evening. Her first goal was the game-winning tally in the opening six minutes of play. Marissa Young also registered two scores on the night. Sophie Zelek scored her first goal of the season. Kennedy Hyde dished two assists including one on the game-winner. Kaleigh Mahaz and Isabel Remar also had assists in the winning effort. Kara Bishop (W, 7-1-1) earned the win while making one save in her 45 minutes on the field. Caitlyn Harwood made a save in relief in the second half. Katie Carver also saw time in net for SHU in the final 20 minutes of regulation.

Remar dished a through pass to the outside for Hyde who then booted a beautiful cross to Ammon who pushed the ball past the Wolverine's goalie, Amber Festian (L, 0-1-1) at the 5:03 mark of the game. Ammon then contributed to the following goal with a heading cross into the box to Young who beat the keeper to the lower right of the net and the Saints were ahead 2-0 in the 21st minute of play. Hyde crossed the ball into the box to Ammon again who scored at 24:02 to give SHU the 3-0 lead. Zelek tapped the ball into the net off a corner kick from Mahaz in the 40th minute and Siena Heights took a 4-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. The Saints dictated the pace for the entire first half as they outshot UM-Dearborn 11-1 in the first 45 minutes of play.

The second half also saw an 11-1 shot advantage for the Saints. However, the only goal scored was an unassisted goal by Young who dribbled past her defender before overcoming the goalie in a one-on-one breakaway for the final score of the contest.
