
ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team (2-0, 2-0 WHAC) scored in the second half to shutout Lourdes (0-3, 0-2 WHAC) in a 1-0 win on Saturday afternoon. Jennifer Richmond (Sr. | Plymouth, Mich.) scored her first goal of the season in the 69th minute to help the Saints push past the Gray Wolves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The game was tight in the first half as the Lourdes goalkeeper, Kerstyn Williams (L, 0-2), made three saves to keep Siena off the board. The first opportunity for SHU came in the 19th minute when Ashley Strong (Sr. | Howell, Mich.) was thwarted by Wiliams on her shot attempt. Faith Patania (Fr. | Jackson, Mich.) and Kennedy Barr (Sr. | Fraser, Mich.) each had a shot on goal that was kept out by the Gray Wolves keeper.
The second half was scoreless until a shot by Emily Broman (Fr. | White Lake, Mich.) was saved and Richmond put the ball away off the rebound to give Siena a 1-0 lead. The Saints outshot Lourdes 14-9 in the game (5-4 in shots on goal). Siena totaled five corner kicks while the Gray Wolves had three. Both SHU keeper Kara Bishop (Sr. | Allegan, Mich.) and Williams each made three saves.
