Julia Stancato Adds Two More Awards To Her Resume

United Soccer Coaches All-America Release

KANSAS CITY -- Siena Heights senior defender/midfielder Julia Stancato (South Lyon, Mich.) was named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches North All-Region second team for the second time in her collegiate career. The north all-region team is the best 22 players from the WHAC, Crossroads, Chicagoland and River States Conferences, a total of 47 member institutions.

She has also been named a 2019 United Soccer Coaches NAIA Scholar All-American. Stancato is only the fourth Siena Heights women's soccer player who has received the United Coaches Scholar All-America award. 

Julia led the team in points with 12 (five goals, two assists) this season as a back-line player. She scored one game-winning-goal and both of her assists came on game-winners as well. The First Team All-WHAC recipient was also second on the team in shots with 40 and was the team leader with 23 shots on goal for 2019. She was also on the WHAC All-Academic team when the league announced the yearly awards earlier this week.

The 2018 WHAC Defensive Player of the year majors in accounting and has a GPA of 3.55.
