
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Three different Saints scored in No. 19 Siena Heights women's soccer 3-1 victory over Saint Francis (Ind.) in non-conference action, on Tuesday.
Danielle Eastman opened the scoring in the eighth minute when she headed in a cornerkick by Taylor Mulder into the top left corner. The 1-0 score would hold through halftime.
The Cougars (4-4-1) responded early in the second half. Hannah Elzinga netted a lofted shot from inside the penalty box in the 50th minute.
Kelsey Schoenberger sent a cross into Erin Scheidel who headed the ball pas USF goalkeeper for the game-winner with 34:33 remaining in the second half.
Mulder added an insurance goal in the 64th minute for the Saints. She finished a free kick in the top left corner for the final goal of the game.
Winning goalkeeper Taylor Hill stopped five shots for SHU (4-2-2). Cougars' goalkeeper Morgan Hammon made eight saves.
Siena Heights outshot Saint Francis, 14-8, and held a 10-0 corner kick advantage.
The Saints will begin Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Saturday when they travel to Madonna for a 12 p.m. kickoff.
