
ADRIAN, Mich. -- A late goal by Taylor Mulder lifted the No. 17 Siena Heights women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponent Cornerstone at O'Laughlin Stadium on Saturday.
The Saints trailed 1-0 at halftime before answering with a pair of second-half goals.
Cornerstone (5-3-0, 0-1-0) took the lead late in the first half on a goal by Alexys Riksen. Tori Johns assisted the goal.
The Saints tied the game in the second when Samantha Bartelotti scored a header off a corner kick by Kelsey Schoenberger. Mulder netted the game-winner in the 87th minute, finishing a through ball from Bartelotti.
Taylor Hill made two saves and earned the win in net for the Saints (8-1-0, 1-0-0). Cornerstone goalkeeper Allison Snowden made three saves.
Siena Heights outshot Cornerstone, 12-8, and held a 3-2 corner-kick advantage.
The Saints will be back in action on Tuesday to play WHAC opponent Indiana Tech. The match will take place at O'Laughlin Stadium at 7 p.m.
