#20 Women's Soccer Cruises Past Marygrove

DETROIT, Mich. -- Seven different goal-scorers found the net as the 20th-ranked Siena Heights women's soccer team cruised to a 7-0 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference win over Marygrove on Saturday.

Mikayla Ferer and Lynn Hendricks finished with one goal and one assist each for the Saints (13-3-1, 5-2-1). Alexis Donnelly, Kristina Veal, Paige Frey, Samantha Bartelotti and Abbey Marlette added single goals.

Donnelly got SHU on the board in the 19th minute, scoring off a rebound; credit Elizabeth Davis, who took the initial shot, with an assist.

Veal tallied in the 23rd minute, scoring on a header with an assist from Carlee Pallett.

Frey added her goal in the 26th, scoring off a free kick, before Hendricks scored with an assist from Kelsey Schoenberger.

Siena Heights took a 4-0 advantage into halftime and then tallied three more times in the second.

Bartelotti received an assist from Ferer and dribbled past Marygrove goalkeeper Bianca Barron to scored on an empty net.

Ferer scored her goal in the 86th, collecting a rebound of assister's Erin Scheidel's shot.

Marlette finished out the scoring in the 90th minute, finishing a cross from Hendricks.

Winning goalkeeper Crystal Wilcoxen played the first half to earn the win. Taylor Hill played the second half in net and stopped two shots.

Barron had 19 saves in net for the Mustangs (2-14-1, 1-6-1).

The Saints will wrap up their regular season on Saturday, Nov. 1, with a 4:30 p.m. WHAC contest at Cornerstone.
