
ADRIAN, Mich. - The Siena Heights Women's Soccer Team used goals by Kelsey Young, Madison Phillips, and Meagan Mousty to defeat Rochester by a score of 3-0.
The Saints dominated the game from start to finish, outshooting the Warriors by a margin of 22-1 while holding an edge in corner kicks by a 9-0 margin.
Siena Heights took the lead in the 23rd minute when Young put a corner kick into the net directly off the corner. The ball bent in towards the goal and went through the Rochester goalkeeper's hands into the net for the game winner.
Phillips added insurance in the 66th minute when she took advantage of a ball that was deflected around in the Rochester goal box, knocking the ball into the net from 16 yards out. Mousty added the final tally of the day in the 88th minute with an assist from Alyssa Huff.
In the cage, Crystal Wilcoxen had the quiet day, being called on to make one save en route to the shutout. Angela Mancini made seven saves for the Warriors.
The Saints will return to action on Wednesday night when they host Cleary at 7 p.m.
