
ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team overcame a slow start to take a 14-8 victory over WHAC opponent Bethel (Ind.) on Wednesday at O'Laughlin Stadium.
Jenna Allie led the way with seven goals, two groundballs, two draw controls and two caused turnovers.
Danielle Turner added three goals and one assist while Annamae Martin chipped in with two goals and two assists.
Maitland Fuentes added a goal and two assists. Abbey Scott tallied a goal.
Fuentes picked up six groundballs. Lauren Thomas added six GBs and Megan Gibbs totaled three GBs, two DCs and two CTs.
Brooke Burchfield had eight saves in goal with a strong defensive effort from Ava Lazzareschi, who had three groundballs and four caused turnovers.
Bethel took a 2-0 lead the start the game before SHU (7-6, 4-2) answered with five straight goals. The Saints led the rest of the way.
SHU will play next on Saturday when it hosts Marian for a 1 p.m. WHAC game.
