WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team suffered a 16-10 loss to third-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday.

Jenna Allie led the Saints (0-2) with six goals, one assist and five draw controls. Danielle Turner, Maitland Fuentes, Grace Holland and Megan Gibbs had single goals.

On defense, Ava Lazzareschi caused three turnovers while goalie Brooke Burchfield compiled seven saves and four groundballs.

SHU hung around with Cumberlands for much of the afternoon until a second-half run helped the hosts pull away.

The two teams battled through six ties -- the final one at 7-7 -- before Cumberlands outscored the Saints, 9-3, the rest of the way.
