
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's golf team traveled to compete in the third of three Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamoborees at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Ft. Wayne, Ind. The Saints finished in fifth place of the ten conference teams.
Dakota Spears, a freshman, hit a hole-in-one on the first day of the Jamboree. The hole-in-one occured on the third hole of the course, which was a par three, at 141 yards.
Spears led the Saints, placing in a tie for seventh individually. She shot a 79 in the first round and an 83 in the second, totaling 162. Next for Siena Heights was Lauren Cojei carding an 81 and 85 for a 166 total, and Madisyn Reed with a 90 and an 83 for a 173 total. Rounding out the SHU scoring was Carley Hall shooting a 91 and 91 for a 188 after two rounds. Also playing for Siena Heights was Allie Barron (188).
The Saints finished with a team 687 after carding a 339 in the first round and a 348 in the second. This was good enough for a fifth place finish for Siena Heights.
With the completion of the WHAC Jamboree No. 3, the SHU 2017 season will come to a close.
