Cojei, Spears Finish First and Second as Women's Golf Wins Lourdes Invitational

TOLEDO, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's golf team traveled to compete in the Lourdes Invitational, at the par 71 Heather Downs Country Club and finished in first place overall while having three players finish in the top five individually. 

Lauren Cojei and Dakota Spears finished first and second, respectively, to help lift the Saints to a first place overall finish. 

Cojei led the way with an 81, Spears followed close behind with an 83. SHU's Carley Hall finished in fourth place overall, shooting an 85. Rounding out the scoring for Siena Heights was Madisyn Reed (87) and Allison Barron carding a 99.

As a team, the Saints finished in first place out of seven teams with an overall score of 336. Finishing in second was Northwestern Ohio with a 350.

The Saints are back in action on Monday, Sept. 25 when they compete in the Cleary Invitational at the Chemung Hills Golf Course in Howell, Mich.
