Won's Career-High 27 Leads Women's Basketball Win at UM-Dearborn

DEARBORN, Mich. -- E'Anna Won scored a career-high 27 points as the Siena Heights women's basketball team rolled to an 88-45 victory over WHAC opponent Michigan-Dearborn on Saturday.

Won also had seven assists and five rebounds for the Saints (3-4, 2-1). Madison Vice added 18 points and five assists while Brooke Rebman totaled 14 points and eight rebounds.

Leading rebounder Sarrinah Ajami hauled down nine boards. As a team, Siena Heights held a 45-30 advantage.

SHU shot 30 of 58 percent from the field (51.7 percent), including 11 of 20 from three-point land (55.0).

The Saints dominated the first half and held a comfortable lead the rest of the way. Leading 16-9 in the first quarter, SHU exploded for 27 straight points, widening the margin to 43-9 in the second.

Siena Heights led 48-12 at halftime. Won had 20 points at intermission and Vice had 15.

For one lengthy stretch -- from 3:41 left in the first quarter until 6:08 remaining in the third -- the Saints held the Wolverines without a field goal (18 minutes and 36 seconds).

SHU will return to play on Tuesday with a 6 p.m. non-conference game at cross-town rival Adrian.
