SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team won in first-year head coach Candice Leatherwood's debut, 64-49, over Saint Ambrose on Friday at Lawrence Tech's Blue Devil Classic.

E'Anna Won led the Saints with 15 points, five rebounds and three steals while E'Moni Guice-Finch added 13 points and three assists. Lauren DeWolf contributed 10 points.

Also for SHU, Jam Thigpen grabbed seven rebounds, Brooke Rebman added five rebounds and Madison Vice made four assists.

Siena Heights (1-0) held a 27-24 halftime lead before pulling away with a 17-7 third quarter. Won got SHU started with a 3-pointer. Aubree Meyer had five points in that stretch while Guice-Finch put in four.

The Saints will return to action Saturday with a 4:30 p.m. at LTU against 15th-ranked Rio Grande.
