ADRIAN, Mich. -- Morgan Warfield hit a school-record eight 3-pointers and finished with 24 points as the Siena Heights women's basketball team claimed a 68-51 victory over Concordia in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Thursday at the SHU Fieldhouse.

Grace Howrigon added a double-double, compiling 12 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds. Also for the Saints (10-5, 4-4), Sierra Calhoun scored 10 points and Jen Jasinski hauled down seven boards.

Warfield went 8 of 11 from behind the 3-point line. Each of her 3-balls were assisted -- six times by Howrigon. Howrigon was 4 of 7 herself from 3-point land.

The Saints and Cardinals traded 9-2 runs in the first half, leaving them tied at 11-11. Concordia (5-9, 3-5) held its last lead at 15-14 before SHU charged ahead with a 10-2 stretch, featuring a pair of Warfield treys.

Concordia twice cut its deficit to one point, but SHU continued to hold off its visitors.

The Saints took a 39-32 advantage into intermission and eventually broke open the contest with a 14-0 second-half run. Howrigon and Warfield nailed two 3-pointers each during the streak, which helped Siena Heights to a 59-38 lead.

Warfield hit the record-breaking 3-pointer with 7:13 left in the contest after receiving a pass from Howrigon. The basket put the Saints ahead, 64-44.

Warfield held a share of the previous record of seven 3-pointers with Becca Miller. Miller accomplished her feat in a 71-52 loss to Aquinas on Jan. 28, 2004, before Warfield reached seven during an 87-36 win against Marygrove on Jan. 9, 2013.

As a team, the Saints limited CUAA to six field goals in the second half (6 of 23 - 26.1 percent) after allowing the Cardinals to go 14 of 34 in the first (41.2 percent).

Brooke Adams was Concordia's leading scorer with 20 points. Becca Sabol had a double-double worth 16 points and 13 rebounds.

The Saints will be in action again on Saturday when WHAC opponent Madonna visits the SHU Fieldhouse for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
