Coach Rudy Corpus is in his second season at Siena Heights University, and his first as the Men’s Head Wrestling Coach. With his guidance he coached the Saints first WHAC Conference Champion Randy Frailey, as well as the programs first National Qualifier at the 2024 NAIA National Championships. Before coming to Siena, Coach Corpus was the Head Assistant Coach at Defiance College where he helped start up the program during its inaugural 2018 season with Hall of Fame coach Tony Guerra. For 4 seasons he successfully coached multiple wrestlers to NCAA regional place winners and National Rankings during his tenure. As a student athlete himself, Coach Corpus wrestled collegiately at Bowling Green before an injury ultimately ended his competitive wrestling career. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Bowling Green, and a Master of Science from California University of PA. He also proudly served 6 years in the United States Air Force as an Avionics Tech. Coach Corpus is from Wauseon, OH where he was a conference champion and OHSAA state place winner. He was a freestyle and Greco All-American and competed on the Ohio National Team. Coach Corpus has coached at multiple clubs including in his hometown of Wauseon where he has coached over 30 State Qualifiers and Placers. He owns Takedown Sports and Nutrition, which holds camps that bring in world class elite wrestlers as clinicians, while also owning his own franchise of fitness centers as well. Coach Corpus currently resides in Napoleon, OH with his wife Mika, and his children Amora, Elena and Emilio.
