GULF SHORES, Alabama – Day two of the NAIA National Championships saw sophomore Matthew Gipple compete in the 100-meter dash and the long jump.
Gipple competed first at 3:30 PM in the long jump event, where the Coldwater, Michigan native took 6th place. Earning the title of NAIA All-American, Gipple jumped a distance of 7.37 meters, besting his previous Personal Record (PR) of 7.22 meters. At 5:40 PM, Gipple ran the 100-meter dash, where he finished 14th overall with a final time of 10.63 seconds.
The Saints continue competition on day three of the NAIA National Championship on Friday, May 27th.
