SHU Men's Soccer Falls in WHAC Quarterfinals

LIVONIA, Mich.– The Siena Heights men's soccer team traveled to Madonna University to compete in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Quarterfinals. The Saints fell 0-5 to the Crusaders.

Siena totaled nine shots with three on goal. Gaizka Zandio held two of SHU's shots on goal while Timm Castro had the other. Ricardo Moreno started in goal and made seven saves during his 77 minutes of action. Jacob Wojciechowski (L,6-10-1) totaled two saves during his 12-minute appearance. 

The Crusdayers struck first in the fifth minute of the game. The Saints would put up a strong defensive front and put up two shots during the half. Beginning the second Madonna scored twice more making the score 0-3. After a valent effort by Siena, the clock ran out ending the game and season.

"Unfortunate result today. We played much better than the final score might indicate. Proud of the effort the entire season from the guys."
